To Mister President, Barack Hussein Obama
I had a dream…!
Today, thanks to You, Mister President, my dream materializes, my fight is going to continue, is going to intensify, assuming stronger and more human dimensions…if ever possible…more than so…
I acted in favour of Peace, of concord, of tolerance, of equality between man and woman, between Blacks and Whites, I acted in favour of the anonyms, the N.I.P., those billions of «Non Important Persons», became today my personal slogan, for the Third world, wildly exploited, subjected to slavery, to colonization and to colonialism, stripped of its immense richness… Today, all this is not a dream anymore, because thanks to You, everything becomes possible.
Your «We can» & «Change» has become the slogan of the weak and the oppressed, the poor and all those abandoned to their destiny: In quality of physician, psychiatrist, anthropologist and writer, today I am inside an extraordinary hope that will allow me to lift weights that seemed impossible even simply to push.
My determination is total, behind your capacity to make me proud to be today who I am, a Woman, an African, an Arab, a Maghrebine, an Italian, therefore a European, because after your entry to the Presidency of the most powerful Country, became then the «The exemplary Country of democracy», I am not anymore a poor little Arab woman of the Third world.
Mister President of the United States of America, I am proud of You, I am happy about your success: I collect myself together with You, during this historical moment for all Humanity, in front of the memory of the Blacks reduced in slavery, of Martin Luther King, of all People humiliated by colonialism and of all those who consented today that all hopes are allowed to everyone.
God bless you,
