Aïni Bennaï
The Association and the Edition Aïni Bennaï
In 1998, Rita El Khayat created the Association Aïni Bennaï. It is a non-profit association, created in honour to Aïni Bennaï, killed when she was fifteen by the negligence and the mistakes of doctors.
When Aïni Bennaï was just eleven, she liked to read Marcel Proust, listening to it on walkman, saying:
“I like so much his dandyism!!!”.
The aim purpose of the Association is the diffusion and the promotion of the culture and the leisure. Through this purpose it donated over 20000 books, reviews to over 7 libraries.
In October 2003, the Association created publishing company Editions Aïni Bennaï, in order to give help to Developing Countries, beginning from the publishing company’s motto:“Only intelligence combined with sensitivity can save the world!”.
